CAP Child Assault Prevention, an international program based in New Jersey, USA. COPA's primary mandate is to serve francophone communities, but they offer programs in English as well.
Support for women who have experienced violence
If you or a woman you know has experienced violence or abuse, you can call the Assaulted Women's Helpline ( http://awhl.org ) for support, information, and referral to community resources. Their phone number is 416-863-0511, or 1-866-863-0511 (toll-free in Ontario), or 1-866-863-7868 (TTY for deaf or hard-of-hearing women). They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Women in Toronto who have experienced sexual assault or abuse can also contact the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre: Multicultural Women Against Rape ( http://www.trccmwar.ca ) at (416) 597-8808.
